Shida MTC semester test

Today's the big day, It's my semester test. Although it has no impact on me, I still have to do well on it for my own self-satisfaction. This test is for the school to determine if you learned well enough to continue with the next level next semester. As I won't be continuing at Shida, it doesn't matter. However, if I ever do want to return, the school may refer to this test to see where I should pick up from. Wish me luck!

  1. Good Luck Brian,

If you don't mind, tell me the result and how difficult it is. Because I am coming to Taiwan and learn Chinese starting mid October.

But my school is not in Taipei, it's in Taitung City. Otherwise I really want to meet you in person. =(

Anyway, good luck on the test, kick its butt!!

  2. I passed, with a higher score than I thought. It was my school's test, which will be different than your school in Taitung. If your school is using the TOP standard, it should be easier. If you don't mind me asking, why Taitung?

  3. What is TOP standard? I chose Taitung instead of Taipei because my school gave me a scholarship which covered all my tuition and books. The only thing I need to pay for is my housing and food.

I didn't win the MTC scholarship in Taipei. Oh well, I guess is too competitive.

  4. I haven't done too much research on the geography and culture yet. Is it like the difference between Taipei and Taitung is that Taipei is a large city but Taitung is rural?

  5. Pretty much. I'm sure the scenery is beautiful, but it's rural. Took me by surprise. But I haven't visited there, so perhaps you can show me around, ha!
